When Igo to the doctors and I’ll have a flipthrough it it’s really hard not to bedrawn in by stuff like that and even isminimalist its we’re probably still youknow under a little bit of a spell insome ways and it’s it’s that consciouseffort all the time if not you know Idon’t need that like I really don’t needit that’s why I think stuff like youknow putting yourself on a shopping banis a really good way forward at least tojust try and like curb any of those sortof like emotions and feelin’s yeah likeI think I totally agree with you youneed something to bring you back down toearth and what’s nice is I think that’swhat this documentary does and like Istill feel like a draw draw to buythings like if I if I stop at Target topick something up that like I wouldn’texpect to be like I had another storewhich either like but I don’t know forsome reason when I walk into target it’slike it’s a nightmare my brain just likeit starts shutting down and I startlooking at like you know little likeanimals that are like really kitschylike statuettes

There looking down at thesethese four boxes I notice that each boxwas labeled with just a numeral on thetop of each box just onetwo three four and I stood there and Iwondered what could possibly be in thoseboxes and we’re out of time folks I hopeyou have a great night no it was my oldelementary school paperwork grades onethrough four the all takes over thecrowd no and and so at first I’m openingthese boxes I’m like what the hell ismom holding on to all the stupidpaperwork but then all these memoriescame rushing back and I realized she washolding on to all the memories that werein the boxes right but then I thought tomyself wait a minute these boxes havebeen sealed for more than two decades itbecame clear to me in that moment themom didn’t need to hold on to thoseboxes to hold on to a piece of me I wasnever inside those boxes but then Ilooked around in her apartment I lookedaround at all her stuff and I realized Iwas getting ready to do the same thingexcept instead of store her thingsneatly in a box under my bed I.
